RFM Donates Christmas Tree to Martin House Children’s Hospice Martin House Christmas Tree

Yesterday we went over to Boston Spa near Wetherby to meet some of the amazing staff that work at Martin House Children’s Hospice. Last week, RFM Group organised delivery of a 14ft Christmas tree to stand in the grounds at the front of the hospice.

The whole place looked like a Christmas card in the sunshine and the frosty grounds, and the staff had gone to great lengths to decorate the exterior and common areas adding some extra special Christmas cheer. Facilities Manager for the hospice, Gary Hall who works hard all year round for the charity, had done a brilliant job along with his colleagues of decorating the tree, complete with glowing snowmen for company out on the lawn. We were told we’d just missed meeting the big man, as Santa had visited the children the previous day in his own helicopter no less!

For those that aren’t familiar with Martin House Children’s Hospice, they provide family led care for children with life shortening conditions. It is a place where children, young people and their families can come to stay from time to time along their journey and find support, rest and practical help.

Martin House Christmas Tree NightMartin House is a charity close to the heart of RFM Managing Director Ian Flanagan and he commented, “We wanted to do something special for all the amazing children and families that will be spending time at Martin House over the festive period, so what better way than having a big Christmas Tree for them all to enjoy.”
